In player development, slow does not mean ineffective.
Sometimes we rush young players because we want immediate results. We want them to master everything at onceβtechnique, tactics, decision-making, fitness and mentality.
But development doesnt work that way.
Pour a little knowledge today.
Correct one detail tomorrow.
Introduce another challenge when the player is ready.
Over time, the pot fills.
As coaches, our job is not to pour everything at once.
Our job is to know what to pour, when to pour it, and how much the player can absorb.
