From the trenches to a bigger stage.
The Trenches Super 8 was never just a tournament. It was a statement by PTE Football Academy Nigeria. A platform built to remind young boys that even from the toughest environments, dreams are still valid. That what they watch on screens is not a fantasy. It is possible with opportunity, structure, and belief.
From raw talent, PTE Football Academy Nigeria identified the Team of the Tournament XI. Not as a reward alone, but as a message. That excellence is seen. That effort matters. That there is always another level.
That message came alive when these boys were given the opportunity to participate in a scouting program organized by Alemania Football Academy and Bestowed Grace, in conjunction with Sport Stars Consulting, with a Germany-based FIFA licensed agent, Oliver Schlegl, in attendance.
For many of them, it was their first time playing in such a professional environment. A proper pitch. A structured setting. Football people watching. Decision makers observing. Pressure they had never felt before.
They were the youngest team. Newly assembled. Little time together. Yet they played with courage, discipline, and hunger. They won 1–0. More importantly, they competed with class.
This is what development looks like. Not perfection, but progress. Not comfort, but growth. From local pitches to playing in front of football administrators, CEOs, founders, and licensed agents.
The Trenches Super 8 opened the door. The scouting game showed what is possible when opportunity meets preparation.
We are grateful. We are motivated. And PTE Football Academy Nigeria is only getting started.
