God never said the water and storms wont come. If anything, when you read through the New Testament, you will see that Jesus assured us that we would face many trials and tribulations as a result of choosing to follow Him. But God has always assured us of His presence, in the good times and in the tough times. He has made his promise to be with us since the writing of the Old Testament. God will never leave you to face any trials on your own. He will always be there to strengthen you and help you endure.
