It is important to have some skills in the locker as a midfielder to help you get out of tough situations.
It is often very tight and packed in the middle of the park, so having these skills to help you manoeuvre the ball in tights spaces is key to excelling as a midfielder.
Look at top midfielders such as De Jong, De Bruyne and Rodri. One important thing these players have in common is having the ability to use quick feet and ball control to control the midfield, which is vital to helping their team control the ball and the game.
