𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 ⚽
Engagement doesn’t begin with a 𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡, a 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥, or even a 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡.
It starts with 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭, and 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬.
Early on, I thought:
If you bring 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥, people will 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲.
What I’ve learned - quietly, repeatedly - is that 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 doesn’t start with 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥.
It starts with questions like:
• Is this place 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞?
• Do I feel 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞?
• Is it worth my 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 and 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲?
• Do people like me 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠?
Until these are answered, 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 is just a 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚, not a 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.
At 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚, this 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 shapes how we approach 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 and 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
