INSIGHT OF THE DAY ⚽
Another African nation has exited the FIFA World Cup.
Watching France vs Morocco, one thing stood out to me: football at the highest level is decided by moments, not just effort.
Morocco showed discipline, commitment, and resilience, but once France took the lead, the game changed completely. Morocco had to chase the match, leaving spaces that France exploited with their pace and movement for the second goal.
This is similar to what we saw with Egypt against Argentina. African teams have shown they can compete, but the difference lies in managing key moments—transitioning quickly after losing possession, staying tactically organized under pressure, and making the right decisions when the game changes.
The gap between Africa and the worlds elite is no longer about talent. It is about tactical consistency, game management, and maintaining concentration from the first whistle to the last.
Africa has the players. Now we must consistently produce teams that can match the best tactically as well as physically.
