Yesterday my uncommon mentor @lionel Messi had and Iconic and legendary performance at the fifa world Cup 2026 against Algeria where he scored his first hatttrick and broke over 7 World records in one game.
Since a child ve flllowed Lionel Messi closely. Watched him countless times. My first ever football nickname was Messi and I loved it so much, and thats because no matter where I was going to, I always wore a Messi jersey proudly (school, church, events, the streets etc... And after a while I started playing like him.
My first encounter with Messi was the fifa under 17 World Cup held in Nigeria years ago.. And since everything else was Messi.. It was like something entered me.. And I kept having dreams and asking who is this guy?
Many years after he still remains my undisputed goat.
Sir Leo I havent met you, but I know I will some day. I honour you greatly. I have learnt lots of things from you which I will tell in the coming days ahead. Im still learning and becoming but Thank you for inspiring, challenging and contributing to me and my game and the world of football at large.
